Our Purpose Statement
Our purpose is to restore our collective identity by being the repairer of broken walls and the restorer of streets with dwellings, as Isaiah 58:12 instructs. By doing so, we aim to rebuild our sense of self-worth, purpose, and dignity as individuals and as a community, recognizing and embracing the unique qualities that make us who we are. Through this process, we will strive to reclaim our authentic selves, build meaningful connections with others, and positively impact the world around us.

About Stefan Ehlers
Our story begins with our Founder, Stefan Ehlers, whose passion for counseling and healing ignited during his pursuit of a master's degree in counseling, culminating in 2017. His academic journey led him to explore the profound impact of father wounds on individuals and their communities, a subject close to his heart.
In August 2021, Stefan's life took an unexpected turn with the passing of his mentor, Gerhard van Eck, the CEO of The World Needs a Father. It was in this poignant moment of loss and reflection that the seeds of Victim 2 Victor Initiative were sown. Driven by his mentor's legacy and a deep-rooted desire to catalyze positive change, Stefan envisioned a space where individuals could transform their pain into empowerment.
In May 2022, Stefan's vision came to life as Victim 2 Victor Initiative launched its inaugural workshop. From its humble beginnings, the initiative has flourished exponentially, fueled by a dedicated team of six facilitators, comprising five men and one woman. Together, they bring diverse perspectives and unwavering commitment to guide participants on their journey from victimhood to victory.
Rooted in Cape Town, Victim 2 Victor Initiative extends its reach across the country, with facilitators stationed in various regions. Our workshops, once solely focused on individual healing, now include transformative couple workshops, recognizing the profound impact of relational dynamics on personal growth.
